MAXIMUM TIRE SIZE ON REAR OF ALPINE WITH OEM AXLE?

I have a 67 Alpine and 4 good 14" wheels with proper bolt pattern. I also have 4 Hankook 195 x 75R - 14 tires. It looks like these will work on all 4 corners, but what size 14" would be maximum on a 6" wide 14" rim? This will be a driver in all weather so I am not looking at max traction to cover the quarter mile. But because this is a rear wheel drive car, wider driving tires can't hurt. Will 205 x 70R - 14 work? This car is a total ground up rebuild using ideas from this site and the SAOCA site, plus a few ideas of my own.

I do not know what the max tire size that will fit under an Alpine. I do know that a 205 tire is much happier on a 7 inch rim. On a 6", it is best to stay with the 195. You will not get a bigger contact patch with the 205. The shape just changes a bit.
