Mangles needs a pulley - in Colorado
From the MGE's MGB Forum:
Posted by: The Wiz (216.237.95.---) Date: June 21, 2009 09:09PM I'm in Basalt, Colorado, about 110 miles west of Breckenridge, with John Mangles. He has a Buick 215 powered MGA. The centre tore out of his water pump pulley today. While we're hunting locally for a pulley for a 1963 Buick Special, does anyone know where we could get a suitable pulley within a reasonable distance? Edited 1 time(s). Rick, Is it possible to have it welded without getting too much runout? ...might need some finishing in a lathe.

Thanks to the magic of the MG internet world we found a pulley this morning (I'm The Wiz that posted the original thread Rick re-posted).

FYI....the replacement pully was found at a salvage yard in Rifle, CO and came from a Jeep. It has the proper belt width and bolt patter but is a different diameter.

I'm surprised John did not have a spare with him! We expect a complete list of interchange part when you get back.
