Visitor From the US
On Sunday Pete Mantell visited, he has been staying with his parents in Bexleyheath Kent which is only a few miles from me. Pete contacted me before he left the US to ask whether he could drop in to meet me and have a look at my car and I was pleased to extend an invitation.
The weather has been terrible for about a week and it was no better on Sunday but I got the car out, washed the dust off and about 10 minutes later Pete arrived, he was a bit llmited for time but we went for a quick drive to give him some idea how it drove and how quick it was .I don't normally take it out if it's pouring with rain. but i must admit I was surprised at how well it gripped with the fully sorted suspension and even with a heavy right foot it didn't even spin the tyres!. Anyway we got back and Pete came in for coffee and a chat and we could have done with more time as there was so much to talk about, as it was he was late getting back for lunch. Pete's a great guy and it was a pleasure to meet him. Kevin Jackson. |

Re: Visitor From the US
Sorry Kevin, Rick invaded my mind with his toughts.
Yes, accent, well I think Pete has a problem then. If you can only partially understand him due to his American accent and we can only understand him some oft he time. That is a real problem for Pete. Will give him a note pad, yes! that is the solution. LOL :-) |

Bill with your "sexy accent"....I could run with SO MUCH with that comment....but will practice some uncharacteristic restraint.

Re: Visitor From the US
Two Viking invaders are trudging up the beach in the pouring rain. One looks skywards and says, "So this is England. What's it like?" The other snarls, "Well, if you like the weather, you'll love the food."
Okay, I'll stop! |
