Diane,

If you want a dual system it's really got be custom made and to be as efficient as a well designed single pipe system need to have a crossover between the two pipes.

You also want to avoid block hugger manifolds/headers as these are restictive and lose approx 10 - 15 BHp depending on engine size.

In the UK the best system IMHO is the stainless steel RV8 system from MGB Hive at around £430.00 they do the tail pipe section for either the rubber or chrome bumper cars for the different ride heights, obviously if you lower a rubber bumper car to chrome bumper height which is advisable then you use the chrome bumper rear section.

Have you made any decisions on your engine and gearbox yet as this will effect which flywheel and clutch you use?

Just a note regarding the MGBHive exhaust system. The rubber bumper model's tail pipe is curved down to clear the bumper, not the ride height. The brackets are also different so that would be what Kevin is refering to. I ordered the RB one and found this out once I converted to CB. Looked funny with the pipe after I changed the rear bracket. Needed to cut off the pipe at the end of muffler and change to a straight section. Still great value from what I have seen.

Mike,

What I was referring to in addition to the tail pipe angle is the angle of the pipe section where it passes under the axle on the chrome bumper version, this is up to 2" higher, tried a chrome version on my then rubber bumper ride height car and the rear section would not go under the axle.

Also the angle of the rear box, the chrome bumper version is much closer to horizontal whilst with the rubber version the front of the box is much lower, mine will now require modifying as the front of the silencer is very low.

Kevin.

Check out my post on header exhausts...I am trying to get info on these also....super trapp exhaust, these are way neat! seems the usual ways just make you loose ground clearance and centering tank is a big pain in the butt
