Re: Another Arkley for Mike Maloney
Bill, not for sure, but I may have owned this car many years ago. Was it from CA? Was the roll cage visible in the front of the upper cowl with the hood up?

Re: Another Arkley for Mike Maloney
Bill, another sure way to tell if Maloney owned it, Look for a "Curb Service Bracket" on the door. Apparently this is OEM for him. HA! I heard he sold his Patent to some large drive in chain back in the 60's.

Re: Another Arkley for Mike Maloney
Mike, didn't see it with the hood up so don't know about the cage. The current owner said that he used to race it with a Lotus engine and it has a Lotus badge on the front nose. Now has a 1275 engine installed but is still pretty quick but a bit tail happy on the auto cross track.
The current owner has a shop in Minneapolis as I remember, Minnesota tags on the car now. Kelly, it didn't have the built in bracket, but the window glass was there and that would hold the tray I have, so I would work for Mike. |
