Using the stock temp gauge with a 5.0
My question is just as the title says, I want to use the stock oil/temperature gauge I have figured out how to use the stock oil part of the gauge, However I do not know where to tap into the engine coolant system on a 1990 5.0 mustang engine. I could tap into the coolant passage on the intake where a temperature sensor already exist, I could go between the engine and the heater core or I could go up by the radiator. Where do I tap into the coolant system and why? What location gives me the best indication of engine temperature.
Thanks again in advance for any help that is suggested. |

Quote:You've answered your own question - it's where the system coolant runs the hottest ...right before the thermostat! |
