New HIWD: Charles Long's 1966 MGB with GM 3.4L V6
Please join me in congratulating Charles on his beautifully crafted and well-sorted MGB V6 conversion!
Actually a lot of you have already seen this car in person, because after completing it this JUNE, Charles drove it to both the big MG meet at French Lick and also to our own BritishV8 annual meet in Colorado Springs. Here's the article: Perky and Charles Long's 1966 MGB with GM 3.4L V6 |

Charles, simply a great write up.
Tell Perky that it certainly deserves a six or possibly and eight BUTT rating. Now if you can just train Perky how to open her own door. I did buy one of those classy electric jacks that you have. Pretty impressive. Merv |

Charles has since changed the wheels to a grey Rota "minilite" style.
[www.rotawheels.com] He has built a great little car that held its own on the Dragon. |

Jim, thanks. You guys beat it out of Townsend before I could say goodbye.
Merv, I will pass your comment om to Perk, maybe you need to explain that Butt thing to the others. The jack thing is like the AAA, phone, and credit card we don't leave home without. Carl, Thanks for your support. I got put out front, not by choise. I will post an update when the engine cools down. That weekend in Townsend my engine UNDER HEATED twice. Best Regards charles |

Yep, used it on the way to CS. Tried to attach picture, told size to large. Can I resize a picture?

Charles,
Plenty of free online services to help. Just upload a pic, resize to 600x450 or something a bit smaller. Then, download/rename it (so you won't overwrite the original). Now, it can be uploaded here. [www.google.com] |

Re: New HIWD: Charles Long's 1966 MGB with GM 3.4L V6
Charles, I guess that that I should explain my BUTT comment.
When Marilyn & I 1st met Perky we were at French Lick and standing around talking. This is before I knew that she was married to Charles. Suddenly Perky pointed and mentioned that must be a four BUTT car. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what she was talking about, but then she pointed out that you can always tell how interesting a car is by the number of people that are leaning over the fenders of a car with their heads stuck in the engine compartment. I looked again and there was Charles car with four people that had their heads under the hood of the car with their BUTTS sticking out. It was then the Perky's comment on how to evaluate a car made sense. Charles I hope that this clears up my earlier comment. I certainly meant no disrespect as Perky is an awfully sweet lady. Merv |

Graham, sometimes insider jokes should remain insider jokes, BUTT sometime its takes a while for me to learn this lesson.
My apologies to Perky if I embarrassed her. Merv |
