Having some confusion with where the wires go?....I have a 80 mgb 12 volt neg. ground with a 215 buick stock points distributor...the existing coil has 1 wire to neg (ground) I would guess and two wires too positive (line)....then there is a wire to the dist, white with black stripe? I do not know what this is?...kit says install red wire from petronix ignitor to the pos+ and the black wire to neg- on coil I assume i just attach these to the coil and leave the cars hook ups? but do I cut the wire presently to the dist or leave it?....damn kit doesn't tell ya squat....any help appreciated

The ignitor has to have a power feed. The original points worked by grounding out the coil. The ignitor works by using the internal distributor ground to connect the coil ground lead to complete the circuit, same as with the points. The only difference is the power feed for the module electronics.

Go to my site [www.vintage-automotive.com] . Click on the "Tech Tips" section and then to "How to install a Pertronix Ignitor". This is a thorough write-up of how to wire a Pertronix into a vintage Mustang but should answer most of your questions.
