Whoever is on facebook should contact these guys at Hotrod garage and tell them about British V8 and all the awesome Ford small block engine swaps that have been done in MGB's.

It's a bit backyard.
But their incremental process is a practical way of approaching the initial fit.
Also, not getting bogged down in upgrading and modifying the power package.
After all, even a lousy 200hp and 280lb/ft will be a nice start for most people.

Cool article. They go about it like a hack job and the exhaust is absurd, but the approach was about right. Can't say I agree with the assertion that the 5.0 ruins the handling. My car @ 2419lbs is 51% front 49% rear.

OK, so I lost all interest in watching the video as soon as they dumped the freon into the air!
The statement "just try to not breath " is irresponsible beyond belief.
Went back in after I calmed down and watched some more. I fully expected to see the engine oil dumped in the back yard and the old gas put down the kitchen drain.
Instead I had to tell the lovely Lynne to leave the room while I viewed the sawzall and cut off wheel action.
Then tried not to dump my lunch when they showed off their welding skills.
Even a cursory glance at the internet would have given them everything they needed to perform a professional level conversion.
Taking that butchered mess out on a canyon road and driving it like you stole it took some big cajones.
And to his credit, that dude can drive.
I shouldn't get all stuffed shirt about it. I just don't believe that it should be portrayed as a competent way to perform a conversion.


And yes, once I got over myself, it was funny and entertaining.

Nope!
Had a couple of scotchy scotches and looked at it again.
It's not entertaining, it's a tragedy that doesn't know that it's happened yet!

Well yeah, what did you expect with that approach? Even I had the sense to upgrade the brakes first and retain the handling.

But, it is sensationalism at it's finest and that's what sells. Does a immense disservice to all who take the job seriously and is a slap in the face to any who frequent this site, but by all appearances that is their modus operandi so why should anyone be surprised?

AGHAST! What a haphazard approach. Only thing I recognized was the engine\T-5. No mention of fuel pump or regulator , it appeared to be an 86 EFI engine. Blew me away!
