Hi all

Just doing a 3.9 rv8 conversion and want to clarify what you do with the coil feeds. I have fitted a 12v lucas 198 coil and am not sure what to do with the ballast resistance wire.

Do you cut it out and replace with a 12v feed? If so anyone got any pointers

Its a 1975 rubber bumper with 3.9 and 35dlm 3 pin dizzy

Merry xmas

As I mentioned in your other thread,
[forum.britishv8.org]
I believe this is a ballast coil, so it needs a ballasted feed.
Putting a constant 12V into a ballast coil will fry it.

Do sympathise with your problems, I had no-start issues with my engine, it's very annoying.

When you do get it going, there was an interesting thread about PCVs
