Re: jaguar rear end
No, you cannot. And even counting your time it's still a pretty good deal. There's a yard in Louisville, KY and they have 5 X-type cars, good chance of having a good choice. But, I've already made the deal on one. Thanks for posting that though, sounds like a real good resource.

Re: jaguar rear end
Does anyone have a XKE Jag rear anti-sway bar? If you do, would you be willing to measure the bar? I'm looking for the length of the straight section between the bends and the swing radius.
Your efforts would be much appreciated. Thanks, Arthur |
Re: jaguar rear end
Hi everyone! New to the hub and planning my first V8 conversion. Have been around British cars my whole life, and always wanted to go for the conversion. I'm really interested in using the Jag rear end. Looking for two bits of information:
1. Does anyone have the measurements of the varying lengths? I understand XKE is different width than XJ12 than XJS. 2. Does anyone know if the bolt pattern hubs on an XJS or XK12 IRS can be replaced with splined XKE hubs? I know Dayton sells a "conversion"kit that bolts the splined hub up to the existing hub, but obviously with width being a major factor here, I would rather actually replace the hub itself with a splined hub. |
