Re: mgb htob or push pull stock pedal and master cyl
Hi Barry, I have the stock MC and an external push type slave from a Toyota truck. Simple bracket and a couple of holes through existing tabs on the tranny. Don't have my notes with me to remember the year range but it must be a pretty common part. Was only about $20 as I recall. Also, bleed valve points up so easy to bleed. I got the info from Joe Shafer if memory serves.

Re: mgb htob or push pull stock pedal and master cyl
Rob's solution is preferable over a HTOB setup. HTOB's are expensive, more prone to setup & overtravel issues and failure and require pulling the xsmn to repair when they do fail.
A 3/4" bore slave with the std 3/4" bore MGB master makes a suitable installation. |

Re: htob vs push pull stock mgb master cyl?
Barry
I used the stock master cylinder with a push type slave cylinder, with my 302/t5. If you look at my How it Was Done there are pictures of the set up. Also I think there has been several discussions on this subject you mite do a search You could get a lot of info by looking at all of the 302/5.0 conversions in the How It Was Done articles |

The search box at the top of the page is your friend. It will help you find the articles Pete Mantell wrote about MGB/302 conversions, plus articles based on his tech sessions at our annual meets. There's also an article specifically about an MGB-302 slave cylinder installation, written by Dale Spooner. Lots and lots of articles are listed in this table of contents: [www.britishv8.org] (which you can always get back to by selecting "Searchable Archive" in the Magazine pull-down menu.)
