can i have a bad 79 master cyl have a new dual port from earlier can i put it on my 79 and do away with power assist don't need power asst unless it needs to be there thanks barry

Switching to a non power assist M/C on your '79 is doable but you'll likely have to rework your brake pedal ratio from the existing (approx.) 4:1 ratio to a 6:1 ratio to reduce pedal effort.
