Turn Signal Lens
Somehow I've lost one of my original 1972 turn signal lens; the one with the triangular shaped arrow that goes in the instrument panel. I’ve tried to order new ones from Moss twice but they keep sending plain green lights. Does anyone know a supplier who still offers the original style?

149 of you guys read this and didn't respond, Why, because they simply are no longer available from anybody. However, I actually found mine in the hanger setting on top of my buddy's tool box.

Re: Turn Signal Lens
Paul, I think on the MGB Experience Board you would have had more luck from the restorer(purist) guys. Most on this board have heavily modified everything to the point of the only thing stock might be the general body shape. For example I used LEDs for my indicators. Then on the other hand if one of us had them, probably would have mailed them to you for free.

Re: Turn Signal Lens
Again, I worded it poorly. What I meant was with that many readers and no one knowing where I could find one, they are most likely unavailable from any source. Sorry!

Paul
You mean those little bitty arrow lenses in the dash? I'm sure I have some around home somewhere. I will look and PM you. Any interest in early B steel dashs? dave bash |

Re: Turn Signal Lens
Thanks David, actually I found mine setting on my buddy's tool box. I have no idea how it got from mine to his but I have it back now. I like the look of the early metal dash and may go to that in the future. I stripped the old ugly vinyl of my 72 dash, reconfigured the area where the gauges go, and covered it with fiberglass. I’m not sure I’ll like it when it’s finished and has a finish on it but I had never seen anyone do it so I thought, why not, I’ve got nothing to lose. I filled the idiot light holes except the high-beam and turn signal lights. It's in the sanding stage now but the only picture I have is this early one so I really shouldn't share until it’s finished to avoid embarrassing myself, but what the heck.

Re: Turn Signal Lens
Be careful about putting bright bulbs in those. A little too much heat and they melt and mushroom inside the nut, more or less ruining the jewel.

Re: Turn Signal Lens
Thanks Jim, I probably wouldn't have thought of that. I have some origional sockets and bulbs I can use so it should be Ok.
