Re: MGB Ford V8 Motor Mounts Kit
Per forum rules - no photos larger than 600KB.
Pretty well requires a free download pic resizer programme like 'PIXresizer'..... [pixresizer.en.softonic.com] |

Re: MGB Ford V8 Motor Mounts Kit
It's not really necessary to download a program for this. You can use a handy online tool like this one:
ShrinkPictures.com --- Instructions: Browse for your picture. Where the ShrinkPictures tool says "Select New Maximum Image dimension", choose "600 Pixels". Click "Resize" Click "Download this picture Now" |

"Graham, very IMPRESSIVE software"
Merv: PIXresizer is great for single photos. If you want to re-size a batch of photos, I like Visualizer-Photo-Resizer. Phil O [www.softpedia.com] |

Re: MGB Ford V8 Motor Mounts Kit
Welcome to the forum, Dave!
CB = "chrome bumper" = up through 1974 RB = "rubber bumper" = from 1974.5 on So yes, this kit is applicable to your 69 GT. |

Re: MGB Ford V8 Motor Mounts Kit
Bill,
How much fabrication is necessary to do along with this kit? Bolt in? The only fab work that I'd like to do is the holes for the exhaust. ***Graham, We spoke when I saw your car at the meet last summer, I'm in the Detroit area, I would like to get a better look at it when the weather warms if possible...I have a GT the wants to be like that when it grows up!!! Re: MGB Ford V8 Motor Mounts Kit
Mark, I'm sure we can work out a tire-kicking session somewhere near Motown - I'll be visiting Kayak Jack in Dearborn when top down weather gets here......will keep you informed.

Re: MGB Ford V8 Motor Mounts Kit
Mark, the same fabrication is needed when installing a V8 in a an MGB.
The kit will facilitate the installation of the V8 since it is a bolt on kit all you need is to drill holes. It also allows for pinion angle by just adjusting the motor mounts. For headers Teds from Fast Cars will work. We will work on headers if it is enough interest. |

Re: MGB Ford V8 Motor Mounts Kit
Thanks Gentlemen...
Bill, I know I had talked to you about the V6 route, but I have all the main parts for the V8 swap just collecting dust. The only area of question at this point is will my TKO3550 fit without too much tunnel modifications? Any thoughts? Mark |
