A non-V8 related question
A friend of mine just purchased a 72 MGB. He's been asking me a number of questions what to look for what he should do now ,his car is a runner and driver. I was wondering if you guys know of a good website or link that can guide a new owner in maintenance ,care and inspection of his new purchase? Since we address and alter almost every aspect of our cars it makes it tricky for me to answer all his questions so I look to you gentlemen for guidance

Hi David,
I think mgexperience.net has what your friend would be looking for. I would guess there are more out there. Bill |

Re: A non-V8 related question
I second Bill's recommendation. The guys there at the MG Experience are very friendly and helpful to all. [www.mgexperience.net] Not only on the forums, but also have hm check out the Library section, great articles there on maintenance for the car as well. Doesn't cost anything to join or ask questions.

X3 on MG Experience. Britishcars.net is also worth a look.

That website looks great the only problem is it doesn't support iPhone usage and that's all he has.

Re: A non-V8 related question
I guess that's the coming thing, but I'm still pounding away on a standard keyboard on a PC or my laptop. I've checked out almost all of the MG bulletin boards and forums on the web and although the others are good, I still think he'd get the most help and information at the MG Experience. Perhaps he should visit his local library and use their PC for a while, it would be well worth his time, or pick up a used laptop just for use for the MG information. Cheap these days for something that will give internet access at a reasonable speed.

Quote: Is that right? What happens when you try to access it from an iPhone? I would expect that website to work about the same as this one, since we both use the same underlying "Phorum" software. Did Skye make a mistake when he face-lifted his site? |
