Welcome Josh, take a few minutes and look at the MG in the Photo Galleries" tab; you'll see plenty of 302 (5.0L) MG conversions and their details.

Even though Geoff"s car is rubber bumper he cut the firewall back like you would need to do with the chrome bumper. Shows steering also. Lots of info in Martyn Harvey's project page including crossmember and motor mount mods.

Welcome to the site, Josh. You'll soon find your way around, and realize we've got TONS of information on this subject.

If this very page isn't showing a banner advertisement for Mantell Motorsport at the moment, simply click the "reload" button in your browser toolbar until it does! Pete sells a kit for putting the Ford 302 into a later model MGB - but he'll also be able to help you with your '70 - and the banner ad will provide you with both his phone number and e-mail address. Please tell Pete you saw his ad here! Alternatively, you can find Pete's ad on our home page or in our vendor directory. Look for the vendor directory under the "contacts" pulldown menu above...

Using the search box immediately above the contacts menu (in the header of this page), you can access many articles about specific aspects of the 302 / MGB swap. The search box will also help you find old message board posts that are relevant to your query. Here are two good links to start with:

Josh,

I used Rob Ficalora's and Dan Masters project pics extensively. Look at all the pics you can find! Then keep looking at them. Rob Martin (actual builder) and I have had relatively few issues by doing as much prior planning as possible.

Jim, your links shine the spotlight on nice projects; these two will be "eye candy" once finished..........
