I cant find out where to purchase an oil filter relocation kit to fit my Buick 4.1 V6. Its basically the same as the 3.8 Buick. Its a 252 c.i. engine that was in the Grand National from 84-86.

That's the same family as the 231 and 3800 series engines as well as the all the Land Rover / British Leyland v8s. There should be lots of options for you almost no matter where you are in the world.

Also all of the small block Buick engines and the big blocks as well. The lower pump housing/filter mount from any one of them can be used and we have photos of most of them here on this site.younmay be able to find something that removes the need to go remote.

The Rivs and Cads that came with the 4.1 had a neat little rotation fitting between the filter and the pump, there to move the filter and help clear the front cross member, but a really nice piece for conversions as well. We found a cuple in the local junk yard, I would imagine that you ought to be able to do the same.

Before going with the aftermarket and having to run the filter take-off plate, lines and remote filter mount, see if you can't hit the yards or internet and find one of these little factory devices.

Luck,

TC
