I managed to get the track to open for me so we could get some UPDATE pictures done by folk who know how to work a camera :)

This is a teaser picture, but there will be a set from each photgrapher coming soon.

Thanks for the comments guys :)

It was a great day out to be honest. Nice to see how to take nice pictures. Way above my ability I think.

I'm hoping the burnout pics come out ok. The photogrpahers were obviously not aware that a burnout is only a few seconds. They got themselves in position and I smoked the tyres. It became evident after about 20 seconds that they thought I could go on forever because they started changing positions and lenses etc. I kept the tyres smoking for well over a minute. Eventually they realised it was not worth taking any more pictures because they couldnt actually see the car !!

I didnt mind the long burnout because I damaged a slick on the dyno a few weeks back, so these tyres were not safe for racing. After the burnout the car had smoke coming out of every orifice inside. The funniest one was the small holes in the header rail where I removed the sun visors to fit the cage. There were two streams of thick white smoke dropping gently downwards :)

When I got back to the pit area I looked at the tyres. 4-5mm of tread had vapourised Ha Ha!!!

Heres a link to some more pictures.

Regards
Perry

Hi Rob!

They saw the car on the internet (fueltopia website) and contacted me.

It was on the back of an invite to use my car in a scene of the new Fast & Furious movie. The guys at fueltopia asked me if I would be interested in having my car in a street race scene. (they have contacts at Universal studios)

I sent pictures of the car but i think it may have been too "old skool" for the movie as they didnt want it in the scene.

But the guys who run Fueltopia still wanted to see my car on their site so they offered to do the photoshoot for me.

I'm very happy with the publicity for sure :)

Wrong side of the car ?

Ha Ha!! Very good Bill.

Sundays test day is now cancelled due to the white stuff....

I was hoping to fit a new handbrake cable to my friends Costello and get it through its MOT tomorrow buts thats not happening either.
The lovely Costello normally resides in a nice dry garage. But at the moment its experiencing some real weather at my house :)

To bad about the testing, wish we had some white stuff here, today is 70 degrees and the same for the next 5 days :-)

Is that an original Costello grill on the GT. I like those grills.

Yes Bill!
Original Costello grill on an original Costello GT !!

I've just fitted a new spoiler as the old one suffered kerb damage. Its a lovely car to drive and has some nice leather inside.

When I drive it I get confused a little. It has switches on the dash for heater, wipers and washers. It has a floor switch for headlamp control, and with its engine that I freshened up putting out just under 200hp its lively on the road. Especially with the 1800 diff and gearbox. 1st gear is obsolete really.
