MGB Ball Jointed Front Suspension

Hi,

Has anyone used Mustang (or any other) spindles to convert their front suspension to replace the king pin assembly with top and bottom ball joints, fabricated suspension arms and coil over dampers.

I know you have the Fast Cars conversion, but all the coil over conversions over here, with the exception of the MG Owners Club one, retain the king pin assembly.

Thanks

John

Hi Curtis

That is exactly what I had in mind, but they do not seem to exist in the UK.

Looking at the photographs and the other products they sell am I correct in thinking that they use the Wilwood hubs, bells and discs brakes ?

Thanks

John

I expect so. Why not e-mail Bill Guzman and request a quotation for shipping to Kidderminster, Worcestershire?

John, I went with the MGRV8 from suspension on my car in order to get the ball joint suspension, telescopic dampers and 4 piston ventilated brakes. Its a direct bolt in swap and might not be too hard to find at a breakers yard over there. There was a thread about this a few years ago over on the MGB forum that might have some other ideas [www.mgexp.com]

John

I have the Classic Conversions suspension for my rebuild. I've disassembled it to powdercoat it my own color. There is no question it's the real deal!! Extremely well made and designed and absolutely everything you need comes with the kit!

The only bad part for me is the hub pattern is for a 5 bolt setup. I have Panasport 15" which aren't going to work. Want to buy some brand new wheels?
