Finally decided to register on this site. Getting up to speed on the Colorado Springs meet.

Curtis did an awesome job and he hid alot of 'blemmishes' on my car. lol

I hope I can add to the forum here and glean some info as well. If anyone has any questions about my car and how I did things I am always happy to answer them.

Cheers
James

I saw your conversion and looks good. Iam doing a 1967 sunbeam alpine with same engine and trans, I have few questions if you can help.

Thanks John

I'll be there in July. We just live up the road.

Here are some pics of how I modified the fuel tank. I used AN bulkhead fittings from Summit racing and an aftermarket fuel pump Wasbro 455 I think, but I later found a pump from a '89 S10 with 4.3L is cheapest and will work in the tight space. I am still working on a good sealer. RTV and other sealants just don't work, so I am going to try JB weld or an epoxy.

This is a late model tank. Careful where you cut due to the baffle.

Baffle for the pump. Filter fits inside.

Rod welded to baffle and to cover plate. Pump is attached to rod with hose clamp.

Made an indent for wires to pass. Make sure it is deep enough not to pinch wires.

Changes to coils, wires and air intake since article was written.

Oh, I am sure there will be more changes to come. Once the paint work is done I will send finished pics to him. I'm nervous of that day tho. What would I do then?!?
