That muffler is a "California special". The twin pipes are for the exhaust gases and the chrome pipe is for oxygen that offsets the evil carbon dioxide that comes out of the other pipes.

I like how it says 100% original interior and then there's that center console and the 'Fairlane GT' badge... And that muffler....what were they thinking. Otherwise it does look like a really nice example of a Midget. I don't know enough about Midgets but are those wheels an original option?
