One of you guys warned me that at some point, I'd want more power than my stock SBC. I didn't believe you at first.... The nice thing, I will have a new motor, bad news is that I have not really done any body work, or welded the new floors in since all the focus has been on the motor. Since I haven't built a motor top to bottom in 30 years, I am taking lots of time and consulting with a small block expert a lot.

Wow, what a beautiful day in the upper 60's to get out and work on the engine, bored 40 over, mild cam, Trick Flow twisted wedge heads, etc. I got the heads torqued today, waiting on custom length pushrods and then I should be able to get everything buttoned up and in the car. I just laid the intake and valve covers on top for the photo.

I will post some more shots in the weeks to come.

Got the pushrods, roller rockers, oil pan, valve cover done today. Also got a '72 MGB with Camaro V8/T5 into my best friend's garage for him. Oh, I love the warm weather and chance to wrench a little. More to come next weekend!

Despite 27* and light snow falling, I had to get out and continue my to-do list. Removed the stock heater box (I have never used the heater in my car) to open up the engine bay a little.Got the intake torqued and the damper installed. Next, I will tidy up the engine bay with a plate over the heater box hole, and touch up the black paint. On with the flywheel, clutch disk, pressure plate, and back in the car she goes!

Wow. Life happens, I just got to the install today. The weather in Denver has been beautiful all week, and today it had to get colder and rain. Still got her in.

Wow, time flies and life changes. Since I posted last, the V8 meeting was here in Colorado Springs, that I had to miss as I had to be out of town. And, I became unemployed last month, still looking for a job. I have not been able to do much work on my car, but wanted to post an update. Thanks to assistance from some of my friends, my car is back on the road! Yeah! The body still looks like crap, but she sure does run down the road!

Wondered where you were at CS, Brad. You would have been right at home with all the V8 Chevys (at least 4 of them).

Good to get it back on the road... so easy to have the car turn into an 'unfinished project'.

But your air filter... Edelbrock Triangle of Death.
