New Speedo and Tach

Inching closer to my 5.0 Ford T5 V8 swap in my 80 B, I installed a new tach and speedometer to work with my V8. I went with a GPS speedometer from Speed Hut. It was a little spendy but I couldnt be happier. Complete installation of both the tach and speedometer probably took 1.5 hours, including dropping th steering column to get my hands up in there. They work flawlessly. The speedo worked immediately and the tach is easilly programmable with the click of a button (I'm still running my 4 cylinder right now).

Speed Hut customer service is excellent. I accidentally ordered one gauge with blue light and one with white. They were getting them ready to ship an called me. They corrected my error at no charge, sending the blue one back to the shop for white light and then shipped them the following day.

May 7th is the day i have set aside to pull the I4 and begin the V8 conversion in earnest!

Great choice I think Keith. I have a complete set of Revolution programmable gauges from them. In our hotrod group in McKinney we have three t-buckets and a 356 Porsche with them, their performance and accuracy are first rate. Yes, they are a little pricy but you get what you pay for. If you decide to replace any of the other gauges in the future, there is a dealer in McKinney. For those not familiar, the speedometer will give you speed, time, trip, 0-60 time, 1/4 mile time and speed, and altitude if you feel the need to know how high you are for some reason. The dials are luminescent, therefor converted from dc to ac by an inverter.
