Time to sell the MGB... how r prices?
Hey guys, long time no post. Time has come to sell my MGB - the V8 got put in then she ended up parked has less than 1k miles on the new engine. How r prices now a days? Car is a rust free one, used to have rubber bumpers and now has chrome ones, along with a few other changes. Lots of new pieces on it along with the engine change over. Any idea selling prices now a days in the North east?

No idea on price, but there's a WTB ad in the classifieds on this site. Could be a Win-Win.

Re: Time to sell the MGB... how r prices?
Michelle, a suggestion, perhaps a HIWD article for British V8 would help? I sold my V8 conversion last year and the buyer was familiar with it after reading the HIWD article and doing a little research. Cannot overstate how much validity it adds to be be listed with the other great cars and have fellow enthusiasts familiar with your work. Regret I have not seen your car. SAFETY FASTER!

Re: Time to sell the MGB... how r prices?
Yes Michelle, by doing the how it was done article the potential buyer will see what they could be buying, and the care you put into her. Plus it's a great way to pat yourself on the back for a lot of hard work, and share your car with a lot of like minded people. anyways I whish you luck selling her. and as far as pricing it's hard to tell but again the hiwd will help that too.

I'm not sure of the depth you went into as far as suspension, transmission, whether the engine was heavily modified or stock, but after reading up on Greg Beishir's build and flying out to St Louis for a test drive I dropped a check down for $34,500 drove it home and dropped another $8000 into body and paint work. I have no regrets

Re: Time to sell the MGB... how r prices?
Nor should you regret it. If you started out to build a comparable car I have no doubt you could easily double or even triple that cost. (Of course first year depreciation is a killer.)
