Obviously, the car being sold is an "MGA V8". I don't think that term is inadequate Do you feel it's too specific? When I refer to my car as an MGB GT V8, the cognicinti know what I'm talking about and nod approvingly. Very few people fail to grasp that MGBs with V8 engines are special.

I often use the term "hot rod" too. That term (correctly) implies that the car is highly modified and customized. I've occasionally taken my car to Hot Rod car shows, and it's been well received. "Hot rodder"? Why not?

TeamEVIL has a good ring to it. Name your car that. The Team Evil MGV8.
