replacing rubber bumpers

I have been planning to upgrade a factory MGB GT V8 for several years, and I have finally bought a car to upgrade (MLO124P does anyone know this car?)

I had information on a company in the South West of England which makes plastic replacements for rubber bumpers which are both lighter and prettier, but I've lost it. does anyone know this company?

Thanks, Eddie

Eddie,

Not sure where you are as you don't give location.

Are you looking for just covers to replace the rubber outer covers or the sebbring style valences, if so the best company in the UK is Honeybourne Moldings and their prices are very reasonable.

The front valence with brake ducts was about £40 and the rear about £30, I also bought a MGRV8 bonnet for approx £80 and the fit of these product was very good..

Eddie,

Forgot to mention that to carry out this conversion you need to remove the original front rubber bumper support mounts and weld plates in to close the box section and at the rear you will need to two filler pieces to fit between the bottom of the rear lights and the new valence, these are available from MGBHive who are a very good supplier of parts fot the 'B'

Kevin.

I don't know what UK supplier makes lightweight/paintable (fibreglass) replacement bumpers... but in USA the main supplier is (or was) Morspeed Performance. You can see them on this car:

I'm traveling and don't have access to my address book, or I'd give you direct/current contact info for Tim Nagy at Morspeed... but you can get his info from a Google search if you're interested. Please tell him I sent you, if you do call him.
