Information Needed ON MGB Gas Pedal
Posted by: BWA

I installed a GM 3400 in a TR6 and I have to rejig the gas pedal due to other issues.
I have been made aware that the stock MGB gas pedal works with the cam on the throttle body of these engines.
I am modifying the TR6 gas pedal to work the same way but I need the following information to make the arm the right length:

Can someone give me this dimension?
Someone must have one of these kicking around without trying to squeeze under the dash to measure it.
I have tried to scale it off of pictures on the internet but it is just guess work.
Thanks for your time and consideration.

Cheers
Byron

That dimension is as close to 4.0" as I can measure (in situ).

Hey Byron,

I happen to have an uninstalled/unmodified 1972 MGB "Go Fast" pedal hanging on the wall in my shop. Don't know if they are all the same, others may differ, but the one I have is 4-1/8" from the center of the mount hole to the spot where the cable goes through at the end. Hope that helps, good luck with your mod.

Paul
