Just in the last day I've seen a 100% increase in the number of Blown V8 MGB's and a very healthy increase in the SBC ranks.

One in Florida and one in Arizona. Between these new guys, Bill Jacobson and myself there are now 4 of us running an old school Roots style blower engine, although only Steve Jameson is running what appears to be a GMC type. The rest of us have opted for the physically smaller Eaton unit.

Welcome! It appears that mutated gene is alive and well!

Jim

Not sure, but I think the one from the MG Experience board was on craigslist this summer or fall. Looks very familiar.

Jim,
Don't forget about my MGB stroker V8 with the "Blower in a Bottle" Nitrous setup, I've been told I have that mutated gene as well.

Do you guys know how much power or torque your making at the wheels with these blown motors? I have taken a look at a setup here locally, but given my setup (Chevy 383 ex sprint car engine) I don't think I will get much more than the 325 kw (435hp) at the wheels.

I have just added a MSD dizzy and digital 6 plus controller which has given a significantly better feel to the engine.

of course getting the power to the ground is another story.....e.g. [au.youtube.com]

Cool!
BTW how are you guys getting on the mgexprience site? When ever I clink links or search, I always get a page not found message.

Yes, friends and neighbors, this really is about what it feels like to drive one of these beasts! Gears? Who needs gears?

Jim

Bill, sometimes it is just down. Bad timing maybe?

Vic, Yep, I do that on the autocross course too! (But it's such FUN!!)

Jim, as you know one of my other cars is a 2005 Subaru WRX STi this video is not of my car (I wish it were) but some here might enjoy seeing it. If it is inapposite for this site as it is not an MGB I apologize in advance and mod can remove it.

Thanks for the link Carl! Kinda weird I can use it from work, and sometimes it connects. Try it from home and it dosn't go through. Like Jim said maybe the sites just down. Not going sweat it to much, wife says I spend to much time on line anyway!:-)

Bill
