Alternator recommendations

Hey Again, folks, Progress continues on the 3.4 project, but I have once again confused myself.
Can you all share with me your alternator selection, especially those that would have the appropriate
fittings and orientation to be used with Bill Guzman's CC-113 Idler Pulley Kit for the 3.4 Reverse Water
Pump?
Thanks again for previous advice and onward!
Cheers!
Terry

I am using a Delco CS130. It has a 95 amp output. It’s a reliable and fairly compact unit. Not sure if this mounting will work in your application, There are a lot of different mounts. Rock Auto is a great source to research the different mounts.

I"m using a Nippon Denso style alternator on my project. I started with a Delco unit but the hot post is on the back of the unit and too close to the valve covers for my comfort. The Denso unit has the hot post on the side of the unit and has GM style mounts. The particular unit I'm using was for a Geo Metro aka Suzuki Spring and has 55A's of output. They make the units with up to 90A's, I think.

Same here. I use a Delco 10SI. The hot post is very close, but I have a rubber boot over it. It has not been a problem for the almost 20 years I have used this setup.

A Suzuki Sprint alternator is exactly what I've been using on my 215 and recommending since ~1991. These are excellent alternators! Very compact, light, and reliable. Mine came from a junk car with a suitable (v-belt) pulley for my installation already attached... and I got the wiring pigtail (with green connector, as shown in picture below) from the donor car too.

To work with the CCE kit, I expect you'll need a different (serpentine) pulley, won't you?
