MGB 302 T5 on Hemmings
A 'make offer' at $38,500 which is perhaps a bit steep for a rubber bumper car.
Looks tidy. Four-link rear, but stock brakes. Pro build it says. For fans of blue, take a look. [www.hemmings.com] Ivor |

Why is that lever on the front side?

$40K and you get to add a cable so it can pass a roadability inspection, NICE!
I assume most states or US insurance companies require some sort of inspections on older cars? |

E-brakes used to not be legal in many states. OEM e-brakes have gained acceptance. Not so sure about DIY e-brakes.

In WA state, DIY park brakes are legal (and required) as long as it is mechanically operated. Of course it has to hold as well.

Re: MGB 302 T5 on Hemmings
I think Jim was pointing out that, in addition to not being connected, this one is on the front side of the axle tube. MG had both sides behind the axle tube. Looks like this was reassembled wrong during that "professional" restoration.

Little hard to hook up that way since the hogshead is right in the way. REAL professional if you ask me. Kinda like all those professional TV shows.

Similar, watching a builder do a 55 Chevy. They were ready to add the 5 sp. but could not find A Tranny X-Member, DUH? Tri 5's had (2) front engine mounts and rear bell housings (2) mounts. Tranny hung out by itself. Had a Muncie with one ear broken off at Bell housing one time, wonder what happened!
