Good morning, I'm new to this site and to the MGB conversion projects. I have a 67 MGB that is in sound shape however the body and interior need full restore. My plan is to maybe convert the power to a Camaro V6 and T5 Transmission. I have seen a lot of these done with this set up.

Before I get the motor and transmission going, I would like to get some things done in advance. One item is a 16-18 gallon tank replacement. I'm hoping I can get a tank that allows me to also have room for dual exhaust. Does anyone on this site know where or who I can talk to about one? The next three items will be which rear end and gears I should have for the V6 setup. Then probably look at better breaks and power steering. Any resources on this or information would be greatly appreciated.

Moss Motors sells a 16 gal tank in their touring line.

This site's How-It-Was-Done archive, extensive Photo Gallery, and forum Journal section are all great references. Pro tip: you can enter search terms such as "centered fuel tank" (into the Google box at the top of the page) to speed investigation of specific topics. That particular example search yields ~70 results spanning BritishV8... and it reminded me of how Ralph Ratta modified the boot floor of his MGB. You can compare/contrast his apprach with other approaches...

This is very much a work in progress but some of the photos may help you even if the tank design is of no use. You will notice that no welds have been ground down (we have a difficult neighbour who complains if I make any noise emanating from the garage) and the piece of boot floor that was cut out and turned around was also turned upside down. The space available for a silencer (muffler) each side is 63/4" wide and from the rear valance to the front edge of the tank is 22"

Assume that you just like the looks of a dual exhaust as there is no pay off from that in terms of added power?

The payoff of the dual exhaust is increased ground clearance since the pipes and mufflers can be smaller/thinner for the same volume of flow. The flow of two 2" pipes is equal to one 2.8" pipe.
