Lyle Jacobson's car [www.britishv8.org] currently on BaT, where I can't swipe the photos.
Two days to go. Lyle himself has posted on the auction.

Twenty years since the build, 31k miles, has held up well.

Bidding brisk, have a go [bringatrailer.com]. Comes with matching trailer.

RNM at a piffling $23k.
Surprising.

That is a steal. That is a fine MGA.

It didn't sell, I believe the owner put a reserve of $30K and the bid topped out at $23K. I'm really surprised that it didn't fetch the $30K as it is a pretty nice car.

A couple of things that may have held the bidding off is that there were no videos. Videos seem to help sell the cars on BAT. If there ever comes a day when its time to sell my MG's, I think that hiring a professional to do the video with multiple camera views would be the way to go.
Secondly, I think that the fact that the owner put so few miles on the car since he bought it from my Dad may have scared some people off. From what I under stand the owner has several cars and kind of buys/sells classic cars. I believe that he takes them to shows but doesn't drive them that much.

My Dad has sellers remorse getting rid of that car, but pretty much had no choice with my Mom going into a memory care facility. He still has the MG V8 bug though and is currently building a 78 B with a 215 Buick at 85 years old!
