Alternate fuel tank level sensor?

Has anyone used an alternate fuel level sensor? I've just replaced the fuel tank in my 79 B, looking for an alternative before putting gas back in.

I've had good luck (>15 years) with the newer printed circuit/ceramic board type senders sold by MOSS and others....much more accurate than the OEM type.
