I am at the same point in the road. I have gathered a conciderable list of references and the point i did not see mentioned is the sbc is shorter than the sbf. I'd welcome some input myself, already in my possession are: 308 sbf built nice w/t5, ford V6 w/aod, and an LT1 w/glide. So many choices, unpersuaded I'm leaning toward the Ford V6 and aod. Did I forget; project car, the 1961 MGA my dad was forced to park(one owner), when he had us darn kids. Budget is an issue but capability of extensive modifications in house is a luxury. I don't want it to be a death trap. How stable are these cars at extremely high speeds?
