Re: Spring is Here
Hi Joe,
I'm almost as guilty as you, Great expectations but the list was revised many times. I'm currently trying to adapt Wilwood's 12 1/4" rotors and their calipers to my TR6. Alot of fabrication involved. Never really took the car off the road. Exercised it when I could. The hard top will come off soon. Ken |

Re: Spring is Here
My list was short also. Just added a 3/4" frt. sway bar ( thanks to larry shimp) and EBC Red Stuff pads. Will try to get the Super Pro Poly X-Member pads installed and call it a season!. Look fwd to seeing all of you in Durham in June. Ken, last snow i saw like that was in Montana. our lows are in high 30's at nite now. May remove my hardtop briefly, but it seals better when it rains.
SAFETY FASTER! |

Re: Spring is Here
Been there - done it:
1) Lowered front 11/2" (cut coils to 9"), lowered rear 11/2" (removed 3rd leaf & restacked shorties on top). 2) Replaced Monroe shocks (pogo sticks - even though they were for a dodge colt) with Gabriel shocks. 2) Installed Fab-Tek axle locator. 3) Installed red poly bushings at rear. 4) Installed rebuilt front lever shocks (Worldwide Parts) TODAY! Soon to be: 1) Install red bushings at front. 2) Replace 5/8" sway bar with 3/4". Uh - oh (or YIKES - the closer we get BV8 09): 1) Oil pump gasket leak. 2) Wobbly driver-side rear wheel. 3) Front shakes at 60 mph + (checked tire balance twice on new sumitomos). 4) Replace broken hinge at driver vent window. 5) Install Audiovox cruise control. * Of course, all of this was to be completed while it was still freezing outside! |

Re: Spring is Here
It's still in the shop up on stands, but has new urethane bushings in the rear suspension, new tires, new clutch slave with remote bleed, and new front brake rotors and green stuff pads. I'm finishing up the adjustable spring perches for the front so I can dial in a bit more height for that long highway trip to North Carolina and British V8 09. Want to have it on the road for a shake down run by the 18th of next month. A cruise control is a possibility, but not certain before BV8 09.
