Ken, Would you elaborate on the front disc conversion? Is that a Willwood disc and mounting redrilled to attach as the original Triumph disc?
Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Yes, I could elaborate. Here's the whole gamut. Like everything else on this car, the performance parts had to be custom made either because they don't make them or I was too cheap to buy them. Basically, this is a Wilwood disc mounted on a custom made "hat" then bolted to the TR6 hub.Parts from Wilwood:
120-6811 Caliper-Forged Dynalite-1.62" Pistons-.81" Disc
160-0277 Rotor-UL32 Vented Iron-12.19x.810-8 on 7.00"
15Q-6824K PolyMatrix Pad Set-7112Q-DL11-BDL-FDL

Basically, I purchased the caliper, rotor and the material for the hat first. My friend and I fabricated the hat on the milling machine from 1/2" plate then I fabricated the caliper adapter to suit the spacing and diameter.

Hats fabricated from 1/2" plate aluminum

Dennis,

Disassembled bracketry

caliper mounts with 1/8" secondary brackets

assembly before bolts are trimmed to length and nuts are installed
IMG_2624.JPG
Side view. You can see with the primary bracket, on how it was spaced away from the TR6 caliper mount to account for the rotor

How does it perform? Great! All the braking power this car will ever need. This particular caliper matched well with the stock TR6 master cylinder.

I have to give much credit to Dale Knapke (tr6turbo). He installed a similar system and helped me out alot.

Ken,
Thanks for your detailed reply, I appreciate it very much! Now if I can do something constructive and pass it on to the group.
