I've read that volvo 240 calipers are an upgrade for the standard brakes.
the 240 calipers i've seen are for vented rotors.
Is there a vented rotor for the TR7 that is used in this conversion?
Thank you
ian

Hi Ian,

The Volvo 240 calipers come in several flavours.
Early cars came with either Ate or Girling calipers in both vented and non vented configurations.
Later cars only had Girling calipers in vented and non vented versions.
From roughly 1988 on the 240s had ABS brakes which means only one brake line per caliper. So no need for the splitter block.
Just to mess things up the 740s had an aluminum girling caliper for a while in the mid 80s.

Cheers
Fred

thanks for the useful info.
I'm confused by the need of 14" wheels
I took a quick look today and the volvo 240 calipers on TR7 struts appear to fit okay with 13" wheels?
