Tach wiring on Miata 1.8 in a Spitfire

Greetings to all from Honolulu ... Mrs. Peel is back in the Aloha State at last but I still have much to address. Have all gauges working except the tach (granted, the speedo probably isn't remotely calibrated) but am not sure how to do the tach w/o a traditional coil setup. Pretty sure somebody's been down this road ... would appreciate any guidance.

Hey Jeff,

you should have a black wire with a white tracer coming off your ECU.It's on connector 4 (the biggest connector) terminal "L"
That's the tach feed wire.

Cheers
Fred

Hey Jeff,
Congrats on getting Mrs. Peel back! I have a tach wiring diagram on my 2nd page of my build thread, which is still active. How is Mrs peel running these days? I know you went thru much time and pain with your builder to get her done.

You may not believe it, but I am considering selling my spit....I have a new project in mind v6 into a TR7 and need the space. Know of anyone looking for a well broken in Spit with an awesome miata engine?

Doug
