Return fuel line for EFI system
OK - next up on the conversion is I need to run a return fuel line for the Nissan EFI system.
I have a spare TR4a fuel tank that has been dipped so easy to fabricate the return line (in theory). For those that have done this did you simply re-use the existing tank? Where should the return fuel line go? Does the tank need any other modification beyond the return fuel line? Thanks! |
Re: Return fuel line for EFI system
ON mine a 76 TR6 there is a line that connected to a charcoal canister in the engine bay.
I used this as a return line. The tank needed a breather line so I added a nipple and ran a line to a carbon cannister that vents out in the rear fender well. I do not know what the TR4a has for vent lines and carbon cannisters. Cheers Byron |

We used a fuel pump from an F150 (external) and brought the fuel out the stock position. Return line brought it back into the tank through the plug in the bottom of the tank on the opposite side.

Re: Return fuel line for EFI system
I have added a return line to two different tanks, I used a bulkhead fitting with the nylon/plastic washers.
Drilled the hole near the fuel inlets on my fuel cells, to get the inside washer and nut in place. I would think pulling the inlet line with the float would make this possible. |
