TR4A/302/AOD in LA
I like this. Looks standard. Overdrive box.
[losangeles.craigslist.org] Would be tempted to buy it. But it's on CL and the chap wants cash. So I'm sunk. Nice car for someone. Ivor Edit: I called the seller, left a message. He probably thinks I'm a Nigerian prince. No way to contact him. Frustrating. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 04/11/2017 03:43AM by 88v8. |
Re: TR4A/302/AOD in LA
I've always wanted a V8 TR6 . Finally bought one 2 weeks ago. 71' old school setup. 302, 4spd. Probably built in the 90s. Low miles body. It's a blast. Dannyman in Alabama.

I'd want to know if the differential mounts had been reinforced at the very least. Looks nice, other than the garish auto shifter.

Re: TR4A/302/AOD in LA
I bought this car last Saturday, July 1st. And just signed into this forum now.
Drove it 300+ miles up Highway 5 from Palmdale to the Bay Area. No troubles, my wife chased me in her Ford Focus. It cruises nice on the freeway with plenty of passing power. It needs a TV Cable for the AOD, which I just ordered. Once installed, I'll probably contemplate a T5z manual installation for a winter project. Need to see how the AOD with a working TV(Throttle Valve) Cable makes it drive. I was a Nigerian Prince with cash. A rare commodity these days. tork, |

Re: TR4A/302/AOD in LA
Glad it found a good home, and welcome to the forum.
If you decide to sell it, while the AOD is still in there, please PM me through the forum. Not that I'm against a manual box, but after 48 years of shifting a manual transmission, the novelty has slightly worn off. Ivor |
