Phil McConnell's Spitfire first appeared on this website at least five years ago, but those early photos weren't enough and a proper How It Was Done write-up was missing too. So, Phil brought his Spitfire to BritishV8 2010 and we collected enough new and additional material to put the article right. Check it out!

I assure you, the wheels are on correctly. The wheels have the proper side of the vehicle cast into the wheel.
