I would like to see how he installed the Miata engine in there, and keep it under the hood.

I did phone up the owner, he said, the only areas that he moded (to fit engine) was the lip on the frame, for transmission area, and shock tower area. So the frame wasn't cut into.
Sounds to me to be a good swap engine. The prices of a Miata engines would be around the 6 to 8 hundred range(1995 year). Can also pick up a whole car for around 2 to 3 tho in the 95 year. By picking up a whole car, could take out the enine/transmission to install into a Spitfire. Then take the Miata shell, pick up a kit and install an ls1 for a track car. OK , my mind is driffting a little. |

would you have the information to owner, i'm considering placing an engine as such in an 1979 Spitfire, would like to get more information and pic if possible to help with the upgrade.
