Back from the army and way too early. out of money too! got the trans mount in and the carpet cut and already im forced to drive a car thats missing fifth gear. blinkers dont blink driver window gear is stripped and shes got one hell of a tranny shimmy! but what the heck who sees a triumph skating across ice at 70mph sideways and not out on the track! the car just gives it raight back the engine is strong and the tranz is solid. I just need a motor mount I believe. if she had a working window and a solid tranz and a bushing for my steering id be ok besides knowing theres salt sticking to my freshly welded in floor pans!

Ya that was my tr7 I have a photo of it on the ice pack. But I gotta get it. I may havew to put the v8 in it. thought something on the exhaust was ratteling... was verry wrong. Raced a late 90s civic and she got hot fast and noise is turned into a verry bad rod! I did win twice before that. just to let you know. bearings or engine monday. I have a short block layin around im sure.

No nope not ok at all. threw the rod on the way to the shop. I could feel it loosening up and was just praying to make it to the shop so i could pull the motor. Its getting another 4 cylinder for now but going to the junk yard and pulling some temporary parts. I just cant do it men the tr7 is a sports car and deserves to be driven like one. Photos when my friend gets his Nikon back. this summer will consist of a stock trans with 5th, a temporary 3.9 (the 4.6 will go to the engine shop soon for liners) A lincoln mark 7 rear suspension and diff. dent removal and duraglass for the Ugly/right hand fender, and a paint job. good news is she should be painted by the end ot next month and be sporting the better 5 speed.

If your switching to the five speed, you will need the five speed driveshaft, and rear end as well. You will also need the five speed flywheel, bell housing, and clutch to make it all work. Unless you have a complete driveline laying around, it seems like alot of work for a temporary fix.
