Main British Car:

tr6 rear coil springs

I have a 1976 TR6 with a modified 302 Ford and T5 transmission. The rear suspension has been modified to take gas shocks but the stock coils are way too soft. The suspension bottoms out hard under full throttle! Does anyone know what the stock coils are rated at?? I am thinking that I could use springs that are at least 30% stiffer.
Thanks,

Hi Doug,

I don't know what the stock coils are rated at,but understand what your dealing with. I went with Richard Goods lowering springs in front and rear of my car. The rear spring is rated at 34% higher than stock. There are spacers that you can use to achieve the ride height you are looking for. Richard has helped me out several times with my project. You may have found this site below

I also have a set of Roadster Factory stock height HD springs....ended up taken them out because of ride height was about 1" above normal ride height.

Hope this helps in some way.

Calvin
