I am wondering if anyone has any info on putting the sr20det into the triumph spitfire. Another question is what rear end can be used on the spitfire to hold up to 300hp?

im sure it wouldnt be to hard, i mean you see people have used the 4age in the spitfire, and yet a lot of drifters here in ireland use the sr20 in the ae86s.... not too sure ....about the rear end though, but id say the engine swap could be straight forward enough

Mike,

An R200 Nissan diff can handle 300hp. I'm not to sure about the R180 will or not, but surely a R200 will. I'm running 400hp + through my R200 diff...Some have used a diff from a Corvette like Joe Curry's Spitfire.....[www.britishv8.org]

Probably will need better drive line and axles to handle the power. Then might be a good idea to look at better braking too.
