Rear end identification
Please have a look at this photo of a semi-famous vintage racecar:
It's not one of my better photos... but you can see a battery on the left. An aluminum fuel tank, a fuel pump, and a pressure regulator are on the right. Hoses for brake cooling are on both sides. Underneath all that, you should see a modified Triumph TR-4A frame. (I expect it's extensively modified if not entirely new... but I'm told it's a "TR-4A frame". Who am I to argue?) Here's my question: "From this photo, can you tell or even guess anything at all about the rear end?" |

IRS, DeDion, 3.577/1 ratio, with Laycock limited slip. If your going to guess, why hold back ? roverman.

Re: Rear end identification
What rear end? ;)
What little you can see looks like a stock TR4A frame, which was IRS from the factory. So whatever is a near bolt-in upgrade. Apparently, some TR folks are using BMW & Nissan R200 diffs. Where's Dan Blackwood when you need him? Probably off watching a Marshall football game.... Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/20/2012 11:09AM by MGBV8. |

Re: Rear end identification
Looks like Richard Good's mounts. He uses a Nissan R200 in his kit. Calvin Grannis would know.

Could it be this? [forum.britishv8.org]
The mounting ears look stock to me. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/22/2012 01:37PM by Dan B. |
