Main British Car:

Gas Pedal Position

The time has come to put the the throttle linkage in my TR6 for the last time and I have one question. When I dismantled this thing 2 years ago I paid no attention on the position of the gas pedal in relation to the brake and clutch pedal. My 2003 Honda Civic has the gas pedal about 1" closer to the firewall than the brake and clutch pedal. On these old british cars were all three pedals the same distance from the firewall?
I think it is a matter of ergonomics and safety so I am looking forward to some input on this. Thanks

Cheers

I autox mine, so I put it in a good heel and toe position. I set the gas pedal even with the brake pedal when its applied, if that makes sense. So at that point the 2 pedals are even and its easy to use both with 1 foot.
