TR7 V6 2bbl air cleaner

Here is the hat I made to use a low restriction cone type air cleaner instead of the 'firestarter' triangular foam element filter. The tube was excess stock leftover from Dan's TR4-EFI system and the hat was hand formed from sheet aluminum.

The car is slated to go off to serve duty as teenager transportation and should do quite well at that task.

I thought it came out pretty good. Plenty of clearance for the fresh air plenum, a decent low restriction filter, it clears the hood and it's shiny. With a little work it could probably be polished up even better.

It seems to like the new air cleaner. I took the car out today and it felt rather peppy. I think this is going to work out real well, and is a good match (2bbl) for a car with an automatic.
