Looking for a Triumph V8 conversion with V8
I am looking for a good Triumph V8 conversion (preferably TR6) with automatic. I have really been having a difficult time finding where I can find one. Any assistance would be appreciated. Must be in good/excellent condition. Thanks.
Also, if you don't have one but know where I can find one I would really appreciate it. I am looking for one for my wife for our anniversary. I live in Canada but am willing to ship the right Triumph from the US. Thanks for your help. |

Re: Looking for a Triumph V8 conversion with V8
Hi Dave,
I know the new buyer of Van Wilders TR6. He lives in Ca south of me. We have been talking to him back and forth as of lately. His name is Eric Coyne. This is the article and car of Van Wilder's TR6. Now Eric Coyne owns the car. It scared his wife somewhat so he may be selling it. [www.britishv8.org] If your interest I will set you up to call Eric Coyne? Oh hmmm, this is not an auto car.....but I'm sure others may want to purchase this car? Calvin Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/19/2014 10:10AM by 74ls1tr6. |

If that were the criteria, I'd have to sell all our cars ;). |

X2 Rob.
But it did take some time and determination. I did mention in here somewhere that the Lovely Lynne's summer car is a 75 450 SL with a 496 BB chevy didn't I? Cheers Fred |

Re: Looking for a Triumph V8 conversion with V8
This one is excellent. It was a US import some years ago. The seller, who is a TR Register member and has posted extensively about his mods, has owned the car several years, and slightly remodelled the bodywork and interior. It's been on a road a couple of years, it's not fresh and untried.
I have seen the car at a TR Register event, the quality is good. Don't be put off by the slightly illiterate advert. I believe he is open to near offers, it's been for sale a few months. Over here in the UK, just as in the US, the market for these cars is very small. People are sadly reluctant to be 'different'. Whilst this may seem pricey, compared to the cost of buying the parts and doing the work to this standard, it's not. And it would remove the temptation for me to buy the car, otherwise when my garage is finished, I probably will. [www.ebay.co.uk] Ivor |
